Ingeborg was delighted to be the mother of the small newborn boy she held in her arms. Ingeborg worked hard to formally adopt the infant she had been caring for since birth. Jordan McIntosh joined the McIntosh family when he was four years old.

Jordan’s biological mother had certain preferences at the time. Ingeborg explained, “She wanted him to go into either an African American or a multicultural household.” There were no other options but for the McIntosh family at the time. Thankfully, the adoption procedure was ultimately finished after four years. Ingeborg was overjoyed to be Jordan’s mother, but the joy was soon overwhelmed by bad news.

She was diagnosed with polycystic dis-ease and required a kid-ney transplant. Finding a suitable donor is difficult, and the family was de-vastated by the news. Jordan was aware that he might not be a good match for his adopted mother as they were not blood relatives, yet he persisted in trying. He inquired with his physicians about the possibility of donating a kid-ney to his mother.

A lucky occurrence.

Jordan aspired to be a great fit for his mother’s kid-ney donation, but he did not anticipate becoming a qualified donor. But it turns out he was right. Jordan was overjoyed to learn that his kid-ney was compatible with his mother’s su*gery. “I suppose this was my true calling,” Jordan explained. “Hopefully, when I get older, I’ll be able to do more for her, but for now, it’s the least I can do.” The su*gery went smoothly, and Ingeborg began her road to recovery.

Ingeborg’s transplant was successful, and she now has a better sh-t in life. Despite not having any blood relation to her, her son, 27 years old, proved that nothing, when done with love, is impossible.

Jordan is also pleased that he was able to assist his mother. “It was just my way of showing her thanks for everything she’s done for me since I was a kid,” he told KPHO.

By telling his experience, the guy hoped that others would learn that it is never too late to repay the kindness. And for him, it’s the nicest thing ever since he was able to repay his adoptive mother with the love and care he’d gotten over the years.

“Something excellent will come your way, whether it’s right away or 27 years down the road,” he said. Family does not have to be limited to blood relatives. Jordan’s tale highlighted his wonderful bond with his beloved mother, and he will be eternally thankful for being able to help her heal.
