Johnny Depp’s lawyer Camille Vasquez has caught the limelight amid the trial and has gathered massive fan followers on social media. According to The New York Post, Vasquez is an associate at Brown Rudnick, the high profile law firm, where Vasquez is representing Johnny Depp in his $50m defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard.
She is one of the members of Johnny’s legal team and an associate of the law firm representing him. Vasquez is a 37-year-old lawyer based out of the Orange County, California office. Based on the information available on her firm’s website, she is a specialist in arbitration and litigation. She mainly focuses on plaintiff-side defamation cases, hence she represents Depp’s case against Heard over the 2018 Washington Post op-ed.
She graduated from Southwestern Law School in 2010 and she speaks Spanish. In 2006 she graduated from the University of Southern California magna cum laude. She was also designated as a “One to Watch” for the years 2021-2022 by the Best Lawyers in America.
Vasquez was present throughout the trial and did her best in questioning the witnesses. However, she caught the attention of people after videos of her cross-examinations with Heard went viral over the internet.
A video clip of the moment was posted on TikTok and it gained nearly 2 million like and crossed over 10 million views. The clip shows Vasquez questioning Heard, she said, “you were the one who as-saulted someone with a bottle in Australia, isn’t that right Ms.
Heard?” Then she asked, “You were not afraid of him at all, were you?” That clip was one of many videos that went viral over social media.
The clips were dedicated to Vasquez with the hashtag Camille Vasquez and altogether it has reached 747.5 million views. Fans were amazed by her cross-examination clip. One Twitter user praised her in the comment section and it has amassed 15.9k likes.
