We often come across people who try to put us down. While it does affect us, not many of us know how to overcome the neg-tivity and prove the bul-ies wrong.

However, this 21-year-old Sudanese model just did that!

Duckie Thot was 17 when she became a frontrunner in the 2013 Australia’s Next Top Model. Although that sounds like a milestone, in an emotional interview.

Duckie said that she was constantly called names and made fun of by people.
She even said that model Winnie Harlow called her a ‘cauliflower.’

Duckie found her mentor in Charlotte Dawson, who was a Top Model judge. A few years after they met, Charlotte took her own life but Duckie says she still lives by what the former photo model taught her, and that gave her the courage to get past her bul-ies.

Duckie then took a few years off and disappeared from her spotlight to work on herself and regain her confidence. Recently, she took her fans by surprise with a comeback.

Now at the age of 21, she has more than 300,000 followers on Instagram and is living her life on her terms. Her fans call her by the name ‘Barbie,’ and no doubt she looks like one.

Duckie happily accepted the title given by her fans. The model also relocated to New York from Australia.

She now encourages her fans to not define themselves based on what others say but to carve their own success and live life on their own terms.
