Six years after playing for Vikings, Anthony Harris joined the Eagles and is known for his game. An 11-year-old Audrey Soape, who lived in Austin, with her family was a big fan of Anthony. Audrey had to go through a tough year after she lost her father and grandfather. So, Audrey’s mother Holly decided to do something, to make her daughter feel special.
Holly reached out to Anthony asking if he could help by taking her daughter to the daddy-dancer dance, and to her surprise, he replied saying, YES. Anthony even bought a dress, shoes, and make-up for the young girl, and Audrey was happy.
Anthony expressed that all he did was out of humanity.
In his words, ‘trying to take off the helmet, trying to take off the cape of what I do professionally and show some sympathy for that family and try to show some support there. You gotta cherish these moments. You never know how long we have here on this earth. So that people that you care about and you love, show support for them.”
Audrey was touched by his gesture and how he took time out from his busy schedule for Audrey to make her feel special. Holly also said, that for someone to show up, and teach her daughter that people do show up. It’s just beyond a blessing. Just the power of God and how he makes these situations happen has just been unbelievable and remarkable. This beautiful act of kindness has made Anthony win millions of hearts all over the internet.
