Bettina – Ah. So my common mistake is putting men on a pedestal and giving too much. That makes so much sense. I feel like in every relationship I’ve ever been in I’m always giving and over doting and I think I’m going to try to not do that. Just to see how it works
Elsa – Doesn’t matter how good a spouse is if their marital partner isn’t in to them. My now ex- husband lost feelings for me early in the marriage, if he ever really had any for me. I wasn’t what he wanted but I was good wife material, so I served a material purpose.
Cheryl – Spot on!!! But I do these things for me. Not for him. So many people today (I see it in my actively dating friends) try to be the guy/girl they think other people want them to be and forget to do things do themselves. They forget to put themselves first. They say “but I’m not a selfish person”. It’s not about being selfish. It’s about working on being the best you so you can give and receive fully in a relationship.
